Driver/Owner: #28 JP Rosevear

JP Rosevear only strapped into a race car for the first time in August 2010 as part of the Barrie Speedway Driving Experience. In the summer of 2011 he began renting a car from Rusty's Racing, appearing on seven nights in the Pure Stock class at Barrie Speedway and twice more at Sunset Speedway. It took only four starts to get his first top ten at Barrie Speedway. At the end of 2011, he moved Battered Metal Racing into a car ownership role, purchasing the Barrie Speedway #39 Pure Stock, a 1986 Mustang, from Travis Hallyburton. 2012 will be his first full time season.

The car and driver are based out of Mount Albert, ON, where JP lives with his wife and three girls, and his full time occupation is Director of Engineering for Mozilla, makers of the Firefox web browser.
